About

My name is Jyoti Sheokand. I am assistant professor in school of legal studies at NIILM University, kaithal. I have completed my B.A.LL.B (Hons.) from Geeta Institute of Law affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. I have also done LLM in corporate law from Geeta Institute of Law ,Kurukshetra University , kurukshetra. Now, i am persuing Ph.D from Om Sterling Global University, Hisar. My  academic journey reflects consistent performance and a keen interest in constitutional law, human rights, and contemporary legal issues. I have actively engaged in academic and co-curricular activities, including participation in national moot court competitions, cultural events, and institutional talent programmes.

Professional Activities

    • Presented a research paper at a National Seminar held at Geeta Institute of Law on Human Rights and Sustainable Development.

    • Participated in a Five-Day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled Quality and Technology Enhancement in Teaching and Research (QTETR-2024).

    • Participated in a One-Day Faculty Development Programme on Competency-Based Assessment.

    • Currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Om Sterling Global University, Hisar, with the objective of advancing research expertise and contributing meaningfully to legal scholarship and education.
    • My topic of Ph.D is right to life and personal liberty under article 21.

     

Professional Development Activities

  • Served as a volunteer in a National Moot Court Competition.

  • Participated in cultural activities (Dance and Mehndi Competition) at Geeta Institute of Law.

  • Participated in the Talent Show organized by Geeta Institute of Law.

  • I have presented a peper on scope of right to life and personal liberty under article 21 at NIILM University at conference.
